A complete apartment awaits you located on the first floor and accessed via its own door from the rue Nationale. There are three bedroom suites; Salle de Soie, Salle de Lin and Salle de Laine, named for the rich textiles once woven in the ancient local factories and traded in far off regions. Each has its own en-suite bathroom all newly completed as part of the renovations of the whole house undertaken during the Summer of 2016.
There are an additional two sofa beds available, so the apartment can cater for up to 8 people or be booked room by room. The minimum stay is two nights and breakfast can be added at an additional cost.
As you ascend the stairs from the entrance hall, sunlight floods into the library dining room and the adjacent kitchen with dishwasher, hob, oven and microwave for your use. There is also a washing machine and condensing dryer. The Salle de Soie (Silk room) is accessed from here. Pass through to the sitting room with several seating areas to share with other guests where the Salle de Lin (Linen) and Salle de Laine (Wool) rooms are accessed via a small separate lobby. There is also a smaller dining table and games area.
Each bedroom has a seating area, desk and closet/armoire with the Silk and Linen rooms overlooking the small river Dure flowing gently past the building. Each bedroom also has a remote controlled ceiling fan, as does the sitting room, though being a stone building the rooms remain at a pleasant temperature in the warmest of Summers.
You will be provided with all bed linen and towels that are replaced at regular intervals. We can provide extra pillows and blankets as necessary, you just have to ask. Suggestions for local days out and places to visit are provided together with details of activities taking place in and around Montolieu from Spring to the Autumn. In the Summer months the local restaurants often include weekly music evenings.
As hosts, we want you to relax and enjoy your stay to the full without interruption. However, we do have our own apartment on the ground floor so are available if you need to contact us for more information at anytime during your stay.
