Our Project
We purchased the house in 2016. The building was a shell with few facilities and had been unoccupied for more than 5 years. It had huge rooms and high ceilings, so there was plenty of scope to reimagine the spaces and create a comfortable home for us and an apartment for guests.
We knew in its history it had been many things, including an old textile factory in the 1750s so we took “textiles” as a theme. The interior decor, soft furnishings, wall coverings and art reflect the many different materials we discovered in local brocantes, vide greniers and salerooms. We upcycled, recycled and even created items to weave together comfortable, welcoming living areas for the apartment and for the 3 guest rooms - The Silk, the Linen and the Wool.
The pictures shown below give you a flavour of the changes we designed, planned and undertook with the help of a superb team of local artisans.
The rooms can be booked separately or the whole apartment reserved for a group of up to 8 people.
We look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the accommodation, the village of Montolieu and the surrounding area.
